If you follow me on social media, you may already know this…but I am moving to Charleston, SC!!!!
Living in Charleston has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and now it’s coming true!! It has been SO stinking hard keeping this a secret while all of the details were worked out, and I am absolutely thrilled to finally be able to share this with you! I could not be more grateful or excited for this new adventure.
The move to Charleston has been yearsssss in the making, and it’s taken tons of hard work over the past several months by both myself and my family to make this thing really happen. I have received nothing but support throughout this journey, and I am so incredibly thankful for that. My mom, however, has been my biggest cheerleader. We took a trip after Christmas to explore Charleston together and turn this dream of mine into reality. It’s a memory I will cherish forever and ever.
I have lotssss to share, so buckle up! First, let’s walk through my trip to Charleston with my mom! I cannot wait for you to scroll through my favorite iPhone images from this incredible trip ♥️
My mom and I stayed at the cutest, most perfect studio Airbnb! I highly recommend this spot if you’re ever looking for a place to stay in CHS. The location was amazing, and the hosts are absolutely wonderful. Here is the link to book!
After dropping our bags off at the Airbnb, dinner at Basic Kitchen was our first stop, of course!! The most yummy meals in the cutest spot. The sweet potato fries are a must have! My mom and I loved our meals so much, we even grabbed to-go orders a couple of times during our trip. Seriously, that good!!
After we ate, we walked around a bit. Since it was Christmas time, we got to see the light show at the College of Charleston and plenty of beautiful holiday decor around the city!
We popped into The Charleston Place to window shop and see the holiday decorations!
It was such a fun experience getting to see Charleston during the holiday season!
The next morning we headed to Mount Pleasant to grab breakfast at Vintage Coffee Cafe – delish!
Then, we of course, had to stop by Two Cumberland while we were in town! Not pictured is a trip to HomeGoods and Marshalls to get ideas for my new apartment. At this point I didn’t know what apartment I’d end up going with, but we had to get some ideas, of course!
Then, we headed back to King Street for some more walking around and shopping. LoveShack Fancy is the most adorable store!
Before our dinner reservations, we walked down Church Street to check out the shops there. I found this cute sweatshirt below! Obsessed.
We had dinner reservations at Church and Union which is an old church turned into a restaurant…so stinking cool!!
Like come on, how amazing?!
I’ll for sure be back!
The next morning we had our first set of apartment tours. We grabbed breakfast at The Daily, another super cute spot!
Between apartment tours, we went to the most adorable bookstore I’ve ever seen, Sweeter Than Fiction Bookshop. I could have spent hours in here!
I picked up a few things, including my new favorite bag below!
After more apartment tours and before our dinner reservations, we stopped into the Tiny Tassel. Another must-do when in CHS!!
Our dinner reservation was at Felix, a super fun spot on King Street!
YUM!
The next morning we headed to Poogan’s Porch, a classic southern breakfast spot.
Delish!
Then we went across the street to grab a coffee from The Black Dog cafe inside The Mills House. I’m quite obsessed with their pink building!
We were supposed to have a couple more apartment tours this day, but we found the perfect fit for me, and decided to cancel the remaining tours. So, it was time to walk around and do some more exploring!
I can’t believe I get to call this place home!!
Pretty sure this house was made for me!
Our lunch reservation was at Frannie & The Fox inside the Emeline Hotel!
We booked a Yurt, which was so cute!!
The food was super yummy!
After lunch, we walked around some more!
One thing I was not leaving without doing…going to the beach at sunset!
We headed to Isle of Palms to enjoy the sunset on the beach…insert all of the heart eyes!!
Then, we grabbed Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams before heading home for the night. Yum!
A walk through Hampton Park to get a peek into lowcountry living! I’m obsessed with the Spanish moss!
Living in Upstate NY my entire life, it’s crazy to me that something is always in bloom…one of the things I am looking forward to the most about living in the south!
My momma got to play photographer and took my new Charleston portraits for me! I think I know where I got my skills from 😊
These were the announcement photos I shared on social media. My mom did such a good job!
A few of my favorite “real camera” shots from the trip! I shared these on social media as clues leading up to the announcement, which was super fun!
Thanks for scrolling through my trip to Charleston! There’s more where this came from, so be sure to follow along and come back for more Charleston content, soon! 🎉
