Two of my favorite girls, Meg (my sister) and Ang (my cousin), flew down to spend a long weekend with me in Charleston! Meg had been here once before, but only for a whirlwind 24 hours to help me move, and this was Ang’s very first time in Charleston. So, I made it my mission to give them a true taste of the Lowcountry.
They arrived Friday evening and headed home Monday afternoon, which gave us the perfect window to soak up all the Charleston charm. It was such a fun, relaxing, joy-filled weekend. We didn’t overplan, we simply let the city guide us. Charleston has this magical way of slowing you down in the best way possible…yummy food, gorgeous scenery, and even better company.
Each time I host visitors, the weekends somehow get better and better. There’s just something about this city that keeps people coming back, and I absolutely love getting to share my new home with the people I love most.
Until next time, Meg and Ang! Let’s get into the full recap!!
After enjoying the beach for a few hours, we headed to King Street for some shopping!
We didn’t make it far before stopping at my favorite ice cream shop in Charleston, Off Track Ice Cream!
Off Track Ice Cream makes their ice cream from scratch using only clean ingredients sourced fresh from our Lowcountry. They never use any artificial flavorings, additives, or stabilizers and they are super-allergen friendly. Sweet treats done right!!
A little summer storm couldn’t stop us from walking around a bit more…
