Matt & Taylor’s Charleston New Year’s Eve Proposal with The Pink Figgy

Ending the year with a ring and starting the next with forever. Matt & Taylor’s New Year’s Eve engagement with The Pink Figgy was the definition of a perfect way to end the year and start a new one.

As the final hours of the year quietly approached, Matt had one last surprise planned in one of Charleston’s most charming and colorful spots, The Mills House. Knowing just how much Taylor loves Taylor Swift, he went above and beyond to create a proposal that felt deeply personal and perfectly her. From the carefully chosen location to the music softly playing in the background, every detail was intentional, a romantic nod to their love story and the moments that have shaped it.

There’s something especially magical about a New Year’s Eve engagement. It’s a pause between what has been and what’s to come, a moment filled with reflection, hope, and excitement for the future. Matt & Taylor chose to step into the new year engaged to their best friend, a true “this is our forever” kind of moment.

The Pink Figgy provided the dreamiest backdrop for this moment…playful, romantic, and full of personality, much like Matt & Taylor themselves. Every detail felt intentional, joyful, and uniquely them. From the quiet anticipation before the proposal to the laughter and happy tears afterward, the entire experience felt effortless and full of heart.
