Whitney’s College Graduation Photos at Cypress Gardens & Charleston Southern University

Whitney’s graduate session was the perfect combination of meaningful and full-circle. As Whitney prepares to graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, we spent the morning documenting not only this incredible accomplishment but also the heart and dedication that brought her here.

We began the session tucked inside the dreamy scenery of Cypress Gardens, one of the most iconic locations near Charleston. From the famous bridge known from The Notebook to the quiet stillness of the rowboat drifting through the water, every part of the morning felt calm, reflective, and cinematic in the best way. The soft morning light paired perfectly with the peaceful beauty of the gardens and created such a meaningful start to Whitney’s session.

From there, we made our way to Charleston Southern University, where the session shifted into the chapter Whitney has spent years working toward. We started at the College of Nursing building before heading to the reflection pond to finish the session surrounded by some of the places that have shaped this season of her life.

One of the most meaningful parts of the session was seeing Whitney step into her scrubs, holding the tools she has spent years learning to use. With her stethoscope around her neck and syringes in hand, these photos became about so much more than graduation portraits. You could feel the long days, the perseverance, and the commitment it takes to pursue a nursing degree. Every image reflected not only what she has accomplished, but the kind of nurse she is becoming.

Whitney is stepping into a role that requires compassion, strength, and so much heart, and it’s so clear she has exactly that. Whitney, thank you for trusting me with such a meaningful milestone. I already know this is only the beginning of the incredible impact you’re going to make! xo
