Alissa’s Rainbow Row & Sailboat Senior Photos in Charleston, South Carolina

Alissa had a vision for her senior session that seemed like a dream she wasn’t sure she could ever achieve…let’s just say we made it come to life in ways that made both of us pinch ourselves! When Alissa first reached out to me, she shared that she was traveling all the way from a small town in Texas to Charleston for her senior portraits. She had fallen in love with everything this special city has to offer. The colorful streets, coastal charm, dreamy florals, and waterfront views. She wanted her senior photos to feel like a true Charleston experience. From the very beginning, her vision was clear, and I couldn’t wait to help bring it to life.

We began the evening at one of Charleston’s most iconic locations: Rainbow Row. The colorful historic homes created the perfect backdrop for Alissa, while the charm of downtown Charleston added exactly the feel she had envisioned. Walking along Rainbow Row together, it was easy to see why this city captured her heart long before she arrived. It brought me so much joy watching Alissa experience every corner with fresh eyes and so much excitement.

While Rainbow Row was a must-have, there was one idea Alissa mentioned in her inquiry that immediately stood out. She wondered if it would be possible to include a sailboat in her senior session. Together, we found the perfect charter, and as the sun began to lower over the Charleston Harbor, we stepped aboard for what became one of the most memorable sessions I’ve ever photographed. Golden light danced across the water, the breeze filled the sails, and Charleston showed off in every possible way. Not only was it the perfect ending to Alissa’s senior session, but it also became a bucket-list experience for me. A huge thank you to Charleston Sailing Charters for making this unforgettable evening on the water possible.
