Harlea’s Charleston Senior Portraits along Rainbow Row

There are some dreams that are just worth setting an early alarm for. For Harlea, that dream was a senior session in Charleston! Traveling all the way from Mississippi, she knew the historic streets, colorful homes, and timeless charm of downtown Charleston were exactly where she wanted to celebrate her senior year. After months of planning, watching the forecast, and counting down the days, we met just at sunrise to experience the city in one of its most peaceful moments.

We spent the morning wandering through Rainbow Row, the surrounding South of Broad neighborhood, and The Battery, taking advantage of the quiet streets and soft morning light. From the iconic pastel homes and blooming window boxes to the historic mansions overlooking Charleston Harbor, every stop felt like something straight out of a storybook. It’s easy to see why Charleston continues to be such a popular destination for senior photos, and Harlea made it shine a bit brighter.

One of my favorite parts of photographing seniors from out of town is getting to watch their vision come to life. What begins as a Pinterest board or dream location becomes a gallery filled with memories they’ll carry with them long after graduation. Harlea embraced every moment of the morning, and her excitement made the entire experience even more fun.

Harlea, thank you for making the trip from Mississippi and trusting me to capture such an exciting season of your life. It was an honor to help bring your vision to life, and I hope these images always remind you of your adventure in Charleston and everything this season has in store! xo
